(Kuala Lumpur, 20 Feb) — A lucky restaurant owner from Batu Pahat, Johor, welcomed the Year of the Golden Horse with an unexpected windfall after winning the RM50,000 Big Sweep 01/26 Scratch & Win Instant 2nd Prize on the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year after visiting a well-known temple in Batu Pahat with his family.
Upon completing their prayers, he noticed that Big Sweep tickets were being sold within the temple grounds, he decided to try his luck by purchasing tickets on the spot. He immediately scratched all the tickets and was surprised that one of the ticket is printed with the value of RM50,000.
“I just thought of trying my luck during this festive season. I didn’t expect anything big, but I truly believe my prayers have brought me this prosperity. I am so happy but I have not decided on how to utilize the prize money” he shared excitedly.
The winner is also looking forward to Big Sweep Draw 01/26, scheduled for Sunday, 22 February 2026, with a grand prize of RM2,000,000, hoping that luck will strike twice in this year of the Golden Horse.
Thus far, Pan Malaysian Sweep Sdn Bhd has donated RM26,000,000 to YCF, a charitable organization dedicated to nurturing talent through education.
